Skill? Okay marginal car customization and wallpaper painting chops. Ability to look like hipsters while working like hipsters? Excellent.

But in the end what they've made is just a giant cartoon with no feeling or insight inside it. Just a five-finger exercise that has an "art world" shelf-life of less than five years.

In the end, forgettable with much to forget built into it.

But, an effective video performance, huh?

Hey, Gerard: I only needed eight words.

Casey Klahn. Now there's an artist.

Love the way they paint between the lines! Freehand OK, too. Cut-outs!

Looks like Swedish anime,
which is as suspect as Swedish meatballs.

Thanks for linkage, Sipp. I used 6 words, and 2 were throw aways.

But, I would never go up against the master wordsmiths.

Art or not, I enjoyed the video, though I had nothing to say.

Then today, I came across this image over at Lileks' place. Now I can't help wondering if it didn't strike someone's eye and linger in their subconscious, only to be reborn as a leaf-faced groom...

Also, thanks for the link to Casey's blog. If I'm ever in Spokane during an Artfest, I may have to talk my family into wandering by for a look-see...

Dear lord. "Swedish anime." Hilarious.

Hi Julie- Casey's page is a favorite stop of mine on the Intertunnel. He has lots of interesting friends hanging around there, too.
