Back When I Was In High School, We Tied Onions To Our Wide Leather Belts That Held Up Our Plaid Flared Pants, Which Was The Style At The Time, And Elton John Played Piano And We Had A Baritone Sax On Our Rock Records, And That's The Way It Was, And We Liked It

You couldn't get white onions, because of the hostage crisis. The only thing you could get was those big yellow ones...

I remember those girls. They wouldn't give me the time of day. Eventually, once in a while, their younger, prettier sisters waited in line to get my autograph.

That's a coincidence. I just ordered a used copy of what appears to be the most adequate T Rex collection on amazon. There's been nothing new since then. A fax machine ain't nothin' but a waffle iron with a phone attached.

I had to look that up - no idea who those people were or why Elton John was pretending to play the piano there.

Wikipedia answered all my questions. Now I am wiser but somewhat sadder...

T-Rex. Loved them.

I feel so old -- and I didn't know about Elton John or the white onions. Is this before Elton met Bernie?

Bang a gong. Such poetry.

T-rex? That's that fake wood decking stuff, right?

I just about remember this from the first time around but as a Slade fan I was somewhat sniffy about T rex...not bad though.
