The 2nd So. Carolina door: That's an awful lot of door to be tacked onto that structure like that!

Context is everything. That doorway would have been considered fairly spartan when it was made. We're getting used to seeing doorways that have no elaboration at all, so anything that makes a doorway seem important can seem out of place nowadays.
